Give the Power of Ideas

For 45 years, the Kansas Humanities Council has pioneered programming that shares stories to spark conversations -- drawing people together and generating new ideas. These ideas inspire each of us to play a part in strengthening our communities and our democracy.

KHC is the only organization in Kansas dedicated to creating, supporting, and promoting the humanities for all who live in our state. Last year, one out of every six Kansans benefited from Kansas Humanities Council resources. That's an impressive number, but we can reach so many more. Will you help us?

Your donation could support ideas at hometown humanities events happening right where you are. For example:

  • $50 could help connect Kansas communities with explorations and discussions of history and culture through the Speakers Bureau
  • $150 could support the people of Kansas as they explore ideas and listen to the ideas of others at a Talk About Literature in Kansas book discussion
  • $300 could provide emerging writers with a chance to play a part in democracy by participating a community writing workshop exploring William Allen White's plea for freedom of speech
  • $500 could bring the Smithsonian Institution to kids and families all across our state

The Kansas Humanities Council Board of Directors will match, dollar for dollar, the first $17,000 raised during our annual fall fundraising campaign. Your year-end gift keeps the power of ideas thriving in Kansas now and into the future.

The Kansas Humanities Council is a nonprofit organization. Gifts to KHC are tax-deductible according to law.
